This work was viewed in Lowey's first solo show "Dark Side of Her Broom," which weaves a heart felt, tongue and cheek narrative to the artist's Mother. The show explored self, illusion, and abstraction to understand what can occur in a grieving state, when religion plays a sublime role for a parent's loss. "ASHRA" #1, #2, the title of these two works are complex illusions performed by illusionists. 2015

“ASHRA #2 “ Suspended from the ceiling the bodice relaxes in mid-air while we observe the highlights of specific focal length lenses dancing on the wall. The shadow of the sculpture is mesmerizing and the halo floating under it is other worldly.
